Fall = fun food time

Welcome October!

October is a time for spooky fun, creative costumes and fun food!

This is my fav holiday!  My dad would get our house decorated all spooky inside and out:-) He is also the king at pumpkin carving and making monsters out of corn stalks.

We too wanted to start our October out with a “BOO.”  So we got on out Halloween cc Dress and made some pumpkin cookies.  We used, “The Great Pumpkin Patch Cookie Kit.” from JoAnn Fabric Store:-)   It makes 10 to 12 pumpkin shaped cookies. Contains 2 pumpkin shaped cutter, sugar cookie mix, orange frosting mix, green icing pen, black icing pen and some  candy eyes.

We used these Crafty Cooking Kits before.  They are perfect for us because they have all the ingredients together in a fun box.

Brianna was excited to open the treasure box:-)

We had so much fun with this that we hope we can find one of these kits for all the weeks in October!  There is a Snoopy’s Brownies Baking Kit that includes edible watercolor palettes to paint cookies and Brianna finds that amazing! ooo and a Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats Haunted House Kit! We just love this time of year:-)

The instructions say, “while the cookies bake practice some pumpkins on paper.”  That was fun….
